Follow the steps below to add your account hosted through us to your existing Gmail account.
Important note: You will notice a delay in receiving emails with this setup. Gmail checks for new messages at random intervals, and there is no way to make Gmail check your account more often.
- Login to your Gmail account at gmail.com.
- Click Settings Icon -> Settings.
- Click Accounts & Import
- Under Check mail from other accounts click Add a mail account
- Enter your email address -> Click Next Step.
- Select Import emails from my other account (POP3). -> Click Next Step.
- Change Username to your email address
- Enter your password.
- Change POP Server to email.2kwebgroup.com and change port to 995
- Check Always use a secure connection (SSL) when retrieving emails. Click Add Account.
- On next screen select Yes, I want to be able to send mail so you can send using the new account. Click Next.
- Verify that the Name field is correct (This will appear when you email someone).
- Click Specify a different "reply-to" address. Enter your email. Click Next Step.
- SMTP Server change to email.2kwebgroup.com and change port to 465
- Username change to full email address
- Password enter your password
- Select Secured connection using SSL.
- Click Add Account.
- Next Gmail will send you a confirmation code so that you can verify you have access to this email account. Login to the web interface or if you previously had this email account setup on your device you can check there for the confirmation code message.
When you have the code enter it into the screen in Gmail or click the link in the email. It might take it a few minutes to come through.
- After the account has been added to your Gmail account, go to back to Settings -> Accounts & Import and under "Send mail as" ensure "When replying to a message" is set to "Reply from the same address the message was sent to".
